You paid a lot of money for the product, it’s three years later, and the zipper tears. You’re screwed, the manufacturer had a one-year warranty on the product and you’re outside that window. There are fewer and fewer companies offering products with a lifetime warranty.
When I find one that truly honors that policy, I normally praise the company but more importantly they get recommended to my friends, family, and co-workers.
And that is exactly what I am doing with this shortlist of bad-ass companies.

Osprey
Osprey is a maker of backpacks and luggage. Their products are some of the best quality packs on the market. I personally own two travel packs and a child carrier. They have stood up to the abuse of a month-long backpack trip through Europe and the carrier has handled our destructive 2-year-old perfectly.
Their current All Mighty Warranty is where they shine. Their website states, “Osprey will repair any damage or defect for any reason free of charge — whether it was produced in 1974 or yesterday. If we are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, we will happily replace it.”
Eagle Creek
Eagle Creek is more into the luggage and duffle bag market than Osprey. They have a focus on high-quality and durable products that are functional, but strong.
With all the travel for my work, I went through two $175 suit cases within the first four years due to the abuse from airline handling. I finally switched over to an Eagle Creek suitcase. Their bags are a bit pricey, but you pay for the durability and their awesome warranty.
Eagle Creek offers what they call a “No matter what warranty.” They state, “In addition to covering workmanship and materials against defect for the entire life of the product. The No Matter What™ Warranty covers repair or replacement due to product failure during the product lifetime, regardless of the cause. During this period, we will repair or replace it at our discretion.”
Darn Tough Socks
The Darn Tough Socks company is a USA brand based out of Vermont. They make exactly what you would think, darn tough socks. Socks that stand up to the harsh life we put them through. Whether you are an avid adventurer or a hard blue-collar worker they have the sock for you.
Their warranty states, “Unconditionally Guaranteed for Life: If these aren’t the longest-lasting socks you’ve ever owned, you can return them to us for another pair. No receipt needed, just the pair in question.”
And they truly do honor this great guarantee, however, lost, burned, destroyed by pets is just asking too much. So they do have their limits which isn’t such an unreasonable policy.
Davek
Being stuck in the rain is not a fun time. Having an umbrella you can count on is where the Davek Umbrella company has your covered (pun intended). Their lifetime warranty is top-notch and if you are in the market for an umbrella they should be high on your list.
Their website states, “Davek umbrellas are built to last—with proper use, your umbrella should remain by your side for many years to come. All Davek umbrellas are covered under our famous Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee: If your umbrella should fail to function properly at any time for any reason whatsoever, we will gladly repair or replace it for free (except shipping). Forever. We want this to be the last umbrella you will ever need. “
Craftsman
Craftsman’s hand tool reputation has definitely slipped from what it used to be, but their hand tools are still good quality. With that said, one big reason people continue to stay loyal to the brand is because of their warranty.
Craftsman policy states, “Full Lifetime Warranty: If the product fails to perform for any reason, we will replace it. No proof of purchase is required. Return damaged product to a stocking Retail Partner or contact Customer Care for details.”
